America & Me

This series delves into my story as a Chinese American, the violence committed towards the Chinese community both historically and present day, and identity. It looks at the cultural, social and, subsequently, the political issues surrounding being an immigrant in America in today's political climate.

A New Old World Order

In response to current events and an exhibition call, this mixed media piece was created. The former American president and his political affiliates want to establish a new world order that is very reminiscent of historical old ones.

Covid-19's Racism

This series (uncompleted) was originally created for an exhibition submission but the exhibition didn't happen. As the world was grappling on coping with the Coronavirus at the tail end of 2019 and the next few years, China came under political and societal scrutiny. As a consequence, here in America, the Chinese community, and by default, the Asian community, came under attack mentally, physically, and verbally, regardless if they were American or not. The images in this series represent my state of mind and my changed thoughts and attitude towards my neighbors and strangers.
